Serat Daun Lontar

Speaking comes to most people as naturally as breathing. On many occasions our words are uttered without conscious thought; in fact we rarely stop and think about what we are saying. Thousands of words pour out of our mouths each day as our thoughts, opinions, judgements and beliefs are freely expressed. Often, however, we are oblivious to the positive or negative effect these words have on ourselves and the people around us. Words have tremendous power. Words give out energy and a message which creates a reaction in others. Everything you say produces an effect in the world. Whatever you say to someone else will produce some kind of an effect in that person. We are constantly creating something, either positive or negative with our words.

SYUKUR Ketika Nabi Sulaiman a.s. mendapatkan puncak kenikmatan dunia, beliau berkata,"Ini adalah bagian dari karunia Allah, untuk mengujiku apakah aku bersyukur atau kufur." (An-Naml: 40). Ketika Qarun mendapatkan harta yang sangat banyak, dia mengatakan, "Sesungguhnya harta kekayaan ini, tidak lain kecuali dari hasil kehebatan ilmuku." (Al-Qashash: 78).

Finally, Bali bombers were executed for death penalty. Some interesting moments are when our broadcast stations are rushing to have a special program, showing how people especially bombers family are very proud with the bombers and cursing government for being devil take the bombers life. Even some reporters "slip" to says that the bombers are warriors and/or heroes of the Muslims. Wait, heroes? I'm a Muslim as well and this statement really really annoying me for days and nights.
